Ronald A. Shudnow
Ronald A. Shudnow is a licensed attorney, Certified Public Accountant, and real estate broker who worked in Public Accounting for Altschuller, Melvoin and Glasser and in the tax department of Arthur Pos and Company, which merged with SD Leidesdorph. While at the company he worked on sophisticated transactions involving corporate acquisitions, reorganizations and liquidations. Ronald was also an IRS agent for two years before starting his assessment practice over 50 years ago. He was the head of the American Bar Association’s special interest group on spread sheets for many years, and has written articles on the use of computers in litigation.
Ronald graduated from DePaul University with a major in accounting. He received his law degree from DePaul University where he received the American Jurisprudence Award in trusts and estates. Ronald is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, and is a former member of the American Trial Lawyers Association.
Scott M. Shudnow
Scott M. Shudnow is a licensed attorney, and real estate broker who graduated Magna Cum Laude in Finance from the University of Illinois where he specialized in real estate and accounting. Scott also attended Law School at the University of Illinois, a top twenty-five law school, where he focused on tax law and received honors distinction in legal research and writing, a distinction only given to the top 2% in his class.
Throughout his legal career, Scott has focused exclusively in the real estate tax area and has secured millions of dollars in tax savings for his clients. He has worked extensively on the assessments of large multi-unit apartment buildings, hotels, industrial facilities, commercial centers, high-end single-family homes, and new construction projects for developers. Scott is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and Chicago Bar Association.
Paul A. Tatara
Paul A. Tatara is a licensed attorney who graduated with high honors from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in Economics. Paul attended law school at the Chicago Kent College of Law, where he earned four CALI Excellence for the Future Awards, distinctions only given to the top student in each class.
Paul has been employed by Shudnow & Shudnow, Ltd., since 2011 and during that time, has written legal briefs, litigated cases at the Board of Review, Illinois Property Tax Appeal Board and Circuit Court levels of appeal, achieving large property tax reductions and refunds for the clients of Shudnow & Shudnow, Ltd.
